Abstract on Tour – Walby Farm Park

Walby Farm Park – who says it’s just for kids? It’s awesome! There are trampolines, Go Karts, Swings, and a Zipwire. Then you can go inside and visit the animals; chicks, rabbits, calves, pigs, ferret racing and lots of others. There’s even a cafe (very important) and then the exciting part… there’s also a soft play centre! The sack slide, the ball pool slide and the BIG RED SLIDE. What more could you want?! Family fun all round, rain or shine. Some of the Abstract team spent a fun-filled afternoon there and we’d encourage you to as well!

I know you’re thinking that a trip to Walby can’t really get much better… Well add the wonderful people of this magazine and it certainly does. We’d had this trip planned for months, but eventually the excitement just became unbearable, and we couldn’t wait any longer.

So off we went a few days later to enjoy everything that Walby had to offer. What is that you say? Well, there are animals galore- pigs, donkeys, cows, then the petting zoo, where the whole team got to cuddle cute little bunnies and even got to hold a baby ferret. After petting and cooing over the animals we headed to the swings, go karts and even a zip line where we managed to coordinate ourselves for some very impressive pictures on the swings.

Finally we all headed inside to, maybe, the best part of our afternoon, the Play Barn! With the 24 foot slide, a slightly smaller children’s version (my preference!), a wiggly slide and the ultimate in soft play areas. We entertained ourselves for around two hours at Walby and I think I speak for the whole team when I say we could have stayed there even longer! Ultimately a fantastic afternoon, clearly suitable for all ages.

Walby Farm Park is open from 10am till 6pm (Last admission 4pm), and are open all year round except 24th, 25th, 26th December and 1st January.
